Faint melodic musings of the blackbird spoken,
and the new born lily face of dawn is woken,
with celestial bonds of sapphire stillness broken.

“My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul. Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.” Psalm 108: 1&2
My intention in writing this poem was to capture the ethereal beauty and serenity of the early morning.
It is about the awakening of the natural world and also the spiritual awakening of having a relationship with God.
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
This poem also alludes to periods of difficulty and sorrow during which we must endure. These can be dark times when it is difficult to see how we will overcome.
If we continue in unwavering faith, we can be sure that the turbulent circumstances will eventually come to an end. God will awaken us again to the joy of receiving the victory he has for us.
