Unequalled is the Lord’s unfailing love,
for though He saw our vile desires displayed,
He left His throne of majesty above,
and came to earth in human form arrayed.
Then in the place of man, our Saviour stood,
to bear the condemnation we had earned.
He did for us what no mere mortal could,
although He was misunderstood and spurned.
He died for those who murdered Him with hate,
to draw them to Himself and make them friends.
We cannot comprehend a love so great;
The measure of His kindness never ends.
