Rewards of the harvest are finally here. The seeds that were sown in a previous year have come to fruition at last. As vision emerges and darkened skies clear, the promise perceived in the distance is near, with parched lament left in the past.
Now forward and onward, directed to go, assured by the comfort of hope that we know; His faithful word spoken stays true, for now is the time to awaken and rise; to cast off despair and lay hold of the prize, released in a day that is new.
I wrote this poem on the morning of 1 January 2024.
