She returns to the solitude
of a painted dream,
erecting frail images
of an ambient paradise.
The laughter of a distant summer
still plays through the branches,
like faint music,
but the sparkle of sweetness
has evaporated
in her garden of illusion.
Alluring fantasies unfurl beyond her reach,
like the blushing faces of soft flowers.
Suspended above her static gaze,
they begin to blur
and fade into the sky.

Many of us have probably been in a place where we lived in our dreams. Though we longed for them to be real, they never materialised which led us further down the path of despondency.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33
The irony is that it is God’s intention to give us everything we dream of. That usually happens after we discover the beauty of who He is.
