Glorious Light

Scroll
They knew of the prophecy written before,
and all that Isaiah had said,
of those who traversed along Galilee’s shore,
encountering what they had read.
Glorious Light unto the Nations
That all who were walking in darkness would see
a glorious light that was great.
The captives of gloom had received the decree,
that shadows of death would abate.
Yoke of the Burden
The rod of oppression would finally break;
the yoke of the burden would lift,
and harvests of joy from which all could partake,
the Lord would bestow as a gift.
Jesus Glorious Light
For unto the nations, a Child would be born;
a Son would be given to reign.
His shoulder, the mantle of might would adorn,
increasing His endless domain.
Crown
Most Wonderful Counsellor would He be called,
Mighy God, Father and Prince
of Peace with His government power installed
and none to contend with Him since.
Chains
Establishing judgement and justice with zeal,
henceforth and forever to rule,
extending the light of His kingdom to heal
the victims of chains that were cruel.
Prison Door Open
His Word was fulfilled and He came as the Light
and Life of all men to the world.
To those who received Him, He granted the right
of sons to whom grace is unfurled.
Glorious Light
The King of Creation appeared on that day
to rescue the ones who would turn,
and seek the salvation for which He would pay,
a price beyond all they could earn,
Cross
and still He is calling to all who are lost
in darkness and bondage and fear.
Believe in His Name for He settled the cost
of sin and is drawing you near.
Glorious Light in the Darkness

Isaiah 9:1~4 & 6~7

This poem is based on the prophesy of Isaiah that speaks of the coming King.

John 1:4&12

The words of Isaiah were fulfilled when Jesus was born in Bethlehem over two thousand years ago. He came into the world as the only Son of God to die on the cross and pay the price for our sin.

He chose to do this because of His desire to rescue us from darkness and death, and draw us into His Kingdom of joy and light.

The Lord is still reaching out to us with an invitation to accept His gift of salvation and be in a relationship with Him as his children.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
