Echoed Whispers

Echoed Whispers

Her echoed whispers fade away,
while he is gazing at his face,
enraptured by a pool’s display,
within a mystic woodland place.

Since her alluring calls to play,
have branded her with scorn’s disgrace,
her echoed whispers fade away,
while he is gazing at his face.

Repulsed by her, he spends his day,
absorbed in his attempts to trace,
his features in a mirrored space.
While she observes him in dismay,
her echoed whispers fade away.
