Dying Sound

Dying Sound

The petals bleed upon the ground,
as ardour’s vivid blooms recede.
With fervent pulse no longer found,
the petals bleed.

Departing sentiments concede,
the fragile cords are left unbound,
from whispers of attachment freed.

As new untethered rhythms pound,
and changeable affections lead,
away from passion’s dying sound,
the petals bleed.
