A Year of Grace and Favour

A Year of Grace and Favour

As I look ahead, I believe that 2025 will be a year characterised by grace and favour, even though 2024 has been a deeply challenging season for many people.

Despite the difficulties we have faced, I have an impression that God intends to carry us forward on a wave of His grace and favour. This is not because we have earned it or deserve it, but simply because we  need His intervention and provision.

The two verses that I feel are specifically pertinent are in Deuteronomy and Zechariah.

‘The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, Destroy!”’ Deuteronomy 33:27

‘What are you, you great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring out the top stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’ Zechariah 4:7

These verses highlight the strength and sovereignty of God as He removes the obstacles before us and ushers us into a place of divine favour.

In addition to this, I feel like we are entering a season symbolised by “fat cows” and “full ears” of corn as illustrated in the dream described in Genesis 41. This imagery speaks of abundance and provision.

We need to appropriately steward the overflowing grace and favour that God has made available to us, ensuring that we align with His purposes and the flow of His Holy Spirit. This is a time to move forward in His ease and power, accomplishing what He has prepared for us to do.

Let grace and favour define your journey!
